Meet Matthew Kienstra, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Kienstra is a board-certified facial plastic surgeon who serves as the current Director of Facial Trauma Services at St. John’s Health System.  His extensive facial plastic surgery background includes a prestigious internship and residency at Mayo Clinic and a facial plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Michigan. He is a diplomate of The American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Inc.® and has also been named one of the Best Doctors in America.

A devoted family man, Dr. Kienstra and his wife have a beautiful little girl and are enjoying her immensely. “She is my best work yet,” says Dr. Kienstra with a proud smile.

In his spare time, he enjoys music, ethical theory and applied ethics, 19th century Russian literature, fly-fishing, running, ice hockey, football, and research.
