Current Fellow

Deidra A. Blanks, MD was born and raised in Lake Waccamaw, North Carolina. She graduated with honors from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina for undergraduate and medical school. Deidra completed a general surgery intern year at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She finished her residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Deidra is married with one daughter. She enjoys running, reading, photography and Native American beadwork.
